Elizabeth Glen - Professional Soprano, Vocal Coach

Elizabeth Glen G.G.S.M., PG.Dip.GSM(Early Music), F.I.S.M. is an experienced concert and oratorio recitalist, and has performed in concerts around the world. As soloist and ensemble singer with the internationally renowned ensemble for Medieval Music, Sequentia, Elizabeth toured extensively in Europe and the U.S.A, and recording CDs for BMG. She is featured soloist on “Canticles of Ecstasy” which became an international number one in the classical charts, and Elizabeth’s solo on this album, “O Pastor Animarum” was also featured on other best-selling compilation CDs by BMG.
Elizabeth has sung as an oratorio soloist for many choral societies, particularly in the works of Bach, Mozart, Haydn, and contemporary composers. She was commissioned to perform premieres of several works by U.K composers. She premiered and recorded the one-woman opera "A Life apart" by June Boyce Tillman, and performed it at Winchester and Salisbury Cathedrals, and she has also premiered works by Paul Ayres and Steve Kings.Elizabeth has been soloist live on Radio 3 for the BBC Proms, has given recitals in London venues including "The Purcell Rooms, Royal Festival Hall, and has sung in concerts at The Royal Albert Hall, The London Palladium, St. George’s, Brandon Hill, and internationally at the Melborne International Festival (Australia); the Lincoln Centre Festival (New York); the Edinburgh Festival; The Utrecht Early Music Festival, and other festivals around Europe.
Elizabeth's professional female voice ensemble "Lyrica" performs in concerts and functions throughout South West England, and she also runs "Sing Out Loud UK": Choirs For All!
In addition to her prolific performance career she maintains a teaching practise at schools both in the private and public sector with many of her students going on to continue their vocal studies at prestigious further education institutions including The Birmingham Conservatoire, The Welsh College of Music & Drama, Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, Mountview Musical Theatre Academy and more.
